"MERGE is the Multi-Ethnic and Racial Group Exchange. I started going to MERGE meetings in the SOCA Lounge in sophomore year and I really started to question what my racial identity was in relation to Blackness, but also taking into account my Jewish father.

I often came out of meetings feeling sad or confused. It was a rewarding experience to be around other mixed people and understand I wasn't going through these dilemmas alone, but it was also saddening. There was never one answer, and the experience is what you make of it."
